Long ago, someone spray-painted three simple words on the Wells Street underpass: "Tim Loves Tink."
Nobody knows exactly who Tim or Tink were, but the message stuck around. Literally. Every time the city painted over it, the residents would wanted it painted back.
Eventually, the city gave in and made the words permanent. Now, this simple love note is part of Cornelia’s story, reminding everyone of the power of love and community.
Who knows?
The community was invited to scan a QR code and submit their stories — real or imagined, about this iconic love story.
The stories submitted were imaginative and creative.
Entries were displayed in City Hall as the mural was being painted, along with artwork from the students k-12, attending 2022 - 2023 at Habersham County schools.
